REPRESENTATIVE FOOTBALL

The WorkSafe VCFL has a long and proud history of representative football at League and State level.

In 2010 the WorkSafe VCFL will field teams at Major League, District League and Under 19 levels.

The Major and District teams will be competiting at the national Australian Country Football Carnival to be held in Canberra in late July (21-25 July).

The Under 19 team will play against the VAFA on the Queen's Birthday Weekend.

This will be complemented by a series of Interleague representative matches in both junior and senior football across the WorkSafe VCFL.

The highlight of these fixtures will be a huge weekend of representative football at the WorkSafe Country Championship to be held across the state on May 22-23.

There are also 16 official V/Line Junior Carnivals across the WorkSafe VCFL

Over 1000 country footballers will get the opportunity to play representative football this year.

2010 V/Line Cup

This year's V/Line Cup sees 18 teams come to Melbourne between Monday 28 June - Wednesday 30 June to compete in 4 divisions for the U15 V/Line Cup.

An Youth Girls match between Bendigo and Geelong will determine the Youth Girls Country Champion on Tuesday afternoon.

2010 WorkSafe Country Championships

The 2010 WorkSafe Country Championships sees interleague football in full match format in a graded competition with 20 leagues competiting on the weekend of May 22-23.

Particular highlights will be:

The match against the two highest ranked WorkSafe VCFL Leagues - Ovens & Murray v Goulburn Valley.

Two double headers being played in Horsham and Bendigo on Saturday May 22.

Australian Country Football Carnival

The Landmark Australian Country Football Carnival will be hosted in the Australian Capital Territory in 2010.

The best country footballers in the nation will play off to be crowned the national champions.
