Nicholas Rolfe and Gerard Lucas have been reappointed as President and Vice President respectively of the WorkSafe Victorian Country Football League.

Following on from last weekend’s WorkSafe VCFL Board Meeting it is with pleasure we announce the re appointment of Nicholas Rolfe and Gerard Lucas, as President and Vice President respectively, of the WorkSafe Victorian Country Football League for 2010.

The re-election of President Nicholas Rolfe takes him into his 8th year which is a record term in the modern era and in fact over the past 50 years.

Nicholas in accepting his appointment for a further year commented, “it has been a privilege to serve in the role of President for the past seven years and equally satisfying to see the growth, improvement and value that the VCFL have built and now offer all affiliates over this time.

"Football in regional and rural Victoria remains the heartland of our great game, however despite this fact we understand and embrace the ongoing challenges and the importance of football and netball to all communities throughout regional and rural Victoria and over the borders of South Australia and New South Wales” Rolfe added.

Gerard Lucas enters his second year as the Vice President.

Nicholas and Gerard are supported by WorkSafe VCFL Directors Brant Dunshea, Brett Fitzpatrick, Tony Mitchell, Chris Brown and Lloyd Sims (Lloyd joining the VCFL Board effective 4th December, 2009).

Congratulations to both Nicholas & Gerard on their re-appointment.
