Administration & Accreditation
Jumper Purchase Assistance
For new clubs or clubs that have changed leagues.
Computer Purchases
$250 rebate on the purchase of a computer for football club purposes.
Responsible Serving of Alcohol Course
The RSA rebate is 50% of course costs to a maximum of $50 per attendee. Limited to 10 people per club.
Food Handling Course
The Food handling rebate is 50% of the course cost to a maximum of $50 per attendee.
Junior Age Level 1 Coach Accreditation
Available to coaches of VCFL affiliated Club via AFL Victoria Regional Manager. $50 rebate on successful completion of the course.
Facility Development Funding
Community Facility Funding Program
The Community Facility Funding Program contributes to the provision of high-quality and accessible community sport and recreation facilities across Victoria.
Building Community Infrastructure provides grants to improve places where communities meet and interact. Applications are available for community groups, working in partnership with council, to develop or upgrade community sport and recreation facilities.
This funding is to assist country football and netball clubs and umpiring organisations to develop facilities in particular areas of need including: football, netball and umpire facilities, shared community, club and social facilities, multi-use facilities or lighting.
Football and netball clubs and umpiring organisations in rural, regional and outer metropolitan Victoria can submit an Expression of Interest through their local council. Expression of Interest forms will be available during the next funding round.
Risk Management
WorkSafe Club Safety Fund
WorkSafe Victoria in partnership with AFL Victoria Country are working together to raise the profile of workplace safety in regional and rural Victoria.
To promote football as a safe and healthy sport for players, coaches, umpires, officials and spectators, the WorkSafe Club Safety Fund has been established to provide financial assistance to netball/football clubs to improve the safety of the club environment.
Club Development
VicHealth Active Club Grant
All incorporated sporting clubs and active recreation organisations are eligible to apply, especially those that target the Indigenous population, people with a disability, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and people from low socio-economic communities. Other target groups include juniors and older people. Through this year's scheme VicHealth will provide grants of up to $2,500.00 to Clubs and Associations to purchase:
- Sports Safety Equipment
- Essential Sporting Equipment & Items
- Volunteer & Club Training
- Portable Sun Shade
The Our Club, Our Future � Sporting Uniform Grants Program provides grants of up to $1,000 to assist in the purchase of sports uniforms. Funding is available for the purchase of sports uniforms and footwear that are essential for participation in sport.
Emergency Grant: Sport and Recreational Equipment
These grants provide assistance to grassroots sport and active recreation clubs and organisations to replace essential sporting or first aid equipment that has been lost or destroyed as a consequence of fire, flood, significant storm event, theft or criminal damage.
The Sports Incentive Program assists in the development of sport in Australia by providing funding for potential and current projects.
The Country Action grant scheme provides grants of up to $5,000 to increase the capacity of community sport and recreation organisations in rural and regional Victoria. Projects which are likely to be funded include initiatives that improve community participation as well as operational effectiveness of organisations and skills of club members.
Victorian Volunteer Small Grants are available for Victorian organisations to attract new volunteers from diverse backgrounds, create new volunteering opportunities and strengthen existing volunteering programs as a way of engaging new volunteers.
Supporting Individuals
Victalent is a $500 travel assistance grant for sport and recreation organisations to support developing athletes, coaches, officials and teams who are required to travel extensively in order to engage in training and competition.
Sport Leadership Grants and Scholarships for Women
The Sport Leadership Grants for Women provide development opportunities and training for Women to reach their leadership potential on the sporting stage as coaches, officials and administrators. These grants are aimed at providing women in sport with support and access to leadership training and development opportunities to assist in establishing them in the sport industry. Grants available in the following areas:
- Coaching
- Officiating
- Governance
- Management / Administration
- Communications / Media / Marketing
Local Sporting Champions Program
The Local Sporting Champions program is an Australian Government initiative designed to provide financial assistance for juniors towards the cost of travel, accommodation, uniforms or equipment when competing, coaching or officiating at an official national sporting organisation (NSO) endorsed state or national sporting competition or a School Sport Australia national championships.
