WORKSAFE CLUB SAFETY FUND

Funds are available to clubs for maintenance and equipment purchases to create a safer environment for all.

$250 rebate on the purchase of a computer for football club purposes.

DPCD GRANTS

The Victorian Governments, Department for Planning & Community Development (DPCD) looks at providing support  to initiatives that deal with planning, strengthening, and building infrastructure to enable strong communities.

Many of the grants that they provide in conjunction with Sport and Recreation Victoria may be relevant to Leagues and Clubs and are as follows:

Country Football/Netball Grants Program

The CFNG Program will assist country football and netball clubs to develop facilities for football, netball and umpiring facilities, shared community/club facilities and lighting.

Numerous VCFL Clubs have benefited from this State Government/AFL venture as a result of the 2004 Parliamentary Inquiry.

VicTalent

Victalent provides a travel assistance grant to community sporting clubs in rural and regional Victoria to assist athletes, coaches, officials and teams with the travel costs of engaging in training and competition.

This Scheme offers grants in the following areas of Planning, Strengthening Communities and Building Community Infrastructure to assist communities to plan for the future.

Emergency Grant to Replace Essential Sporting Equipment

This grant provides assistance to clubs and organisations in situations where equipment has been lost or destroyed through fire, flood, significants storms, theft or criminal damage.

Grant to encourage local organisations to attract new volunteers and create new volunteering opportunities.

Our Club, Our Future - Sporting Uniform Grants Program 2009-10

The Our Club, Our Future - Sporting Uniform Grant Program provides grants of up to $1000 to assist in the purchase of sports uniforms.

Country Action Grants Scheme

These grants increase the capacity of grassroots sport and recreation organisations in regional and rural Victoria.

Funding will be provided for one of the following project types:

  • Initiatives that help organisations operate more effectively.
  • Funding for attendance at relevant training courses.
  • Initiatives to help organisations provide accessible sport and active recreation opportunities for members of the local community.
